If Beat Saber and John Wick had a baby, they would name it Pistol Whip. It seems like an odd couple, but putting these 2 lovebirds together, you get a fun-filled action shooter beat-sabing experience.
To put it in better words, Pistol Whip is an arcade-style action-rhythm FPS in VR. Plough through a storm of bullets powered by fist-pumping EDM soundtracks as you shoot enemies to the beat.
Jumping into the game, I was introduced by a psychedelic abstract artstyle, with a pulsating background to really get me into the groove. It was especially satisfying when you see big numbers pop out from enemies heads when you shoot to the beat. As you’re shooting stuff, you’d have to dodge bullets and walls along the way. I have been a powerlifter guy and a fitness freak for more than 10 years. And boy, I can tell you that this game is a great workout – the amount of squats you have to do felt like a HIIT workout.
For those who want to have a gun-blazing party experience with a good workout, there’s no doubt that this game would be a blast!
