The Virtual Reality Bus, a 16-passenger transportation vehicle operated by Invisible Cities, uses potent 3D technology to take you back in time for a 30-minute excursion across Rome during its heyday. Whoever said time travel wasn’t possible hasn’t heard of the Virtual Reality Bus.

The lack of headsets is what makes this immersive experience so special. Invisible Cities delivers immersive 3D content through enormous, transparent 4K OLED screens that are mounted in front of each bus window.

This time machine of a “window” transports you to ancient Rome using the curtains fastened to each “window.” At least, that is how it appears to the people within. Passengers who have their curtains raised can have a contemporary view of their surroundings. They suddenly travel to ancient Rome after being lowered 2,000 years in the past.
