VR concert takes you inside the mind of Fatboy Slim

He is one of the pioneers of the British big beat scene of the nineties and became world-famous with his hit ‘Rockafeller Skank’ – the soundtrack to FIFA 99: Quentin Leo Cook, better known as Fatboy Slim. Now almost sixty, the star DJ is still going strong and is currently on a world tour.

At the end of March, you can experience him in virtual reality for the first time on the Engage event platform.

“Eat, sleep, VR, repeat”: Fatboy Slim in virtual reality
The name of the VR concert is based on Fatboy Slim’s 2013 studio album “Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat”. But VR visitors can look forward to a cross-section of his best-known hits.

“This is a fully immersive concert experience where you will be joined with thousands of other concert-goers enjoying Fatboy Slim’s back catalogue and original new mixes,” said David Whelan, chief executive of Engage.

Rather than recreating a real, physical concert, the team set out to create a unique experience that could only be created in virtual reality. During the 45-minute show, visitors can take an audiovisual journey into the mind of Fatboy Slim and dance with their avatars to hits such as ‘Praise Me’ and ‘Right Here, Right Now’.
