Welcome back to Ultrawings, Pilot! Take to the skies using your virtual hands to fly 5 unique aircraft as you complete a diverse set of engaging, hand-crafted missions across an island-themed world in this made-for-VR, aerial-themed, action-adventure game!

This time around, five different aircraft are available to pilot in Ultrawings 2, and you may unlock them as you go through the game and accumulate the money necessary to do so. Similar to the original, flying is simple to learn but challenging to master. While taking off and using the control stick—which feels great with motion controls—is straightforward, knowing when to use your flaps, hit your ignition, pull away at different angles, or line up the perfect shots in battle can take a lot of practise. But don’t be intimidated by it; Ultrawings 2 isn’t difficult but it will take some getting used to. But at least you won’t ever feel lost because there are several guides that show you just what to do.

The five different aircraft also each feel different to fly. In a way, using each aircraft will seem like learning to fly all over again because they each have their own unique advantages and disadvantages, making use of them fascinating at all times. It’s difficult to choose a favourite, especially considering how well each one fits the various mission types.
Most essential, however, is that each aircraft is a lot of fun to fly and provides a satisfying level of realism that works well with the game’s more arcade-like style. Each aircraft has buttons, sticks, and levers, but it’s always obvious what each one does and it’s always simple to use them, making Ultrawings 2’s flying the ideal combination of approachable and difficult. Even though the game has a good amount of objectives to finish, flying around and having fun in the plane may keep you entertained for hours.

+ HOTAS support for SteamVR

Graphics : 7.0
Some players might enjoy the cartoonish aesthetics, but if you’re searching for intricate textures, look elsewhere.

Gameplay : 8.0
The cockpit feels and looks fantastic, although there is room for improvement since some instrument panel access can occasionally feel flimsy. The level of comfort is moderate, yet playing it for longer than two hours caused us to feel a little lightheaded.

Sound : 7.0
Background music that is simple, pleasurable, and relaxing. Wind and engine noises created an excellent, amazing immersion. The main criticism was that there weren’t any dramatic energetic bullet impacts during dogfights, which would have increased the fun.
